Hi, I’m Kev Chapman a front-end / back-end Web Developer with a keen eye for design. I’m based in Medway, Kent, in the South East of England.
I work full time at Crow Design, a small friendly design agency in Rochester Kent. At Crow my main duties are Web Design & Development. I handle all aspects of a web project from client meetings to final build. I also enjoy a bit of Adobe Illustrator, creating vector drawings for print and web projects.
I pride myself on delivering the best possible product with a high attention to detail. I set myself very strict goals and won’t be happy until they are met. My favourite part of creating a website is the build. I love the challenge of using CSS to manipulate and style well thought out semantic HTML markup.
I hand code all of my work to ensure my markup is valid and meets mine and the W3C’s standards.
Qualifications
It’s not easy getting to do what you love to make a living, I spent 6 years after school to get the qualifications I needed.
I have :
- Degree in Graphic Design – specialising in multi-media design
- NDD in Graphic Design
- GNVQ in Art & Design
It doesn’t end there either. In the world of web development things move incredibly quickly and we developers have to keep up. I’m constantly learning new coding languages and techniques. I think its this constant evolution that keeps me loving what I do.

XHTML / CSS 7 yrs
I hand code clean, semantic, standards compliant XHTML. Using CSS I can style / layout this markup to produce high quality, professional, scalable websites.
My web builds are compatible with all major browsers, in most cases even IE 5.
PHP / mySQL4 yrs
I use PHP / mySQL to develop the back-end functionality of my web builds. I create reusable modular functions to achieve my goals in a clean unbloated fashion.
I'm currently working on moving my coding forward with Object Orientated Programing
